Bridgeport nonprofit gets $4M to help 400 former inmates get jobs

BRIDGEPORT — A Fairfield Avenue nonprofit that helps previously incarcerated persons get jobs received some assist with its mission from the federal Division of Labor Wednesday.

The $3.98 million “Pathway Home” grant to Bridgeport-dependent Occupation Sources Inc. was a single of 18 awards totaling $50.6 million to groups in 14 states.
